Summer Sports

Summer hiking and mountain biking is available for all levels of experience. The area offers extensive outdoor opportunities for both sports, with various mountain restaurants underway. The Arosa Golf Club is the highest altitude 18-hole golf course in Europe. Within the village there are three tennis-court locations to choose from, various swimming pools and the ‘Untersee’, a natural lake just below the apartment. Rental options for summer fun include trottinettes, pedal boats and mountain bikes.

Families with small children can enjoy playgrounds in the village and in the forests. Or visit the extensive climbing park and numerous open campfire areas.

With the Arosa All-Inclusive card, most activities including the use of bus, train and lifts are free during summer. This card can be obtained at the Arosa Tourism Office.


Cultural Events

The cultural offering for both winter and summer season is vast. Highlights of the winter season include the Humor Festival, the hot air ballooning week, and horse racing on the frozen lake. The summer season highlight is the Classic Car Race held in late August or early September. The popular Jazz Week and a multitude of other music related events feature folk, jazz, classical and popular music types.

Culinary offering

Arosa has an extensive culinary offering featuring quality traditional Swiss, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Mexican and local cuisine. Many restaurants have high Gault Milaut ratings. All hotel restaurants welcome guests from outside the hotel. The many family restaurants offer a wide selection of popular children’s choices. There are also various catering and take-away options available.

The many village and mountain restaurants offer a multitude of lunch options, all of which can be reached by foot or on bike. For more information please see: and the section “eat & drink” on this website.


Wellness offering

Local Hotels offer wellness treatments in both winter and summer. Please see for more information or contact the Hotels directly. The best Spa’s are in the Kulm Hotel or in the Tschuggen Hotel.
